Installation and use of TPMS
The first type of external sensors is installed on the inflation valve instead of the standard cap. The advantage is the ease and speed of installation, the disadvantage is a shorter battery life (1-2 years) and a higher probability of sensor loss.
The second type of sensor is installed inside the wheel on a clamp. The advantage of this option is the sensor’s protection and a longer battery life (up to 5 years). The disadvantage is the higher complexity of installation.
Both types of sensors are wireless and operate on a 433 MHz radio frequency (RFID).
To collect data, three types of devices are used: receiver, repeater, display. Further, information from the receiver or display can be transmitted to satellite navigation systems.

Purpose
The display is a device that receives information from sensors and repeater and transmits it to an LCD screen or external devices via RS-232.

Repeater
Purpose
A repeater is a signal amplifier that receives information from remote sensors, such as a trailer, and transmits it to the display or receiver. A repeater is necessary when the sensors are located more than 7-10 meters away from the display or receiver, depending on the obstacles in the signal path.
